Interesting problem with links
-
I have an interesting problem:
I’m using 2.1.3 and it’s installed in my root directory, (I’m hosted at DreamHost) I have another directory called demos with a few .mp3’s that I made and at home (Germany) I can click on my links and the files open like they are supposed to (in IE6,7 and Firefox, and Opera), however some people in the states get the following error when they click on the link:
Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage
Most likely causes:
You are not connected to the Internet.
The website is encountering problems.
There might be a typing error in the address.

The user reports quote:“I did check I can manually download the mp3s and play them…”
The link to access the mp3 is exactly the same as if you where to manually download the file.
I also tried uploading the files via WordPress, the files uploaded correct into the upload directory, and again I can click on the link in all the browsers and they work fine however the user reports the same problem, yet they can download them directly using the same value WordPress supplies in the “href”.
I had my wife check at work to see if she could click on the link and she has no problems whatsoever.
Any thoughts out there?
My website is http://edwardedmonds.com the post “Secret to Tell” is where the problem is. If a few users could give this a test that live in the states or any other location that would be freakin’ sweet.

Edward EdmondsP.S. Same problem with 2.2 of WordPress.
