Interactive Image display – is this possible?

    Hello

    we are working on a e-commerce site (woocommerce) for selling Blinds and Shutters and the owner would like a functionality to allow the user to upload a image of the window and choose blinds/shutters to see how they will look when installed.

    So basically the plugin should work as follows:
    1. Upload image of the existing window
    2. Choose a blind/shutter
    3. Use that blind/shutter as an overlay image, above the original image(the window)
    4. Adjust the size of the overlay image to cover the window
    5 Be able to change the colors/materials of the blind/shutter – this could be done by switching the overlay image

    I couldn’t find any suitable solution for that and hope that someone here has an idea how to create this functionality.

    This can be done with the canvas tag. It requires some javascript to make it work.
    I would ask the user to select the area where the window is in the image, and the script would then resize the image to match the size of the blinds/shutters images.

    You should search for existing code for something similar and then get it customized for your site.

    thanks for your input, I did some search on the canvas tag and the closest one i could find was this plugin: Fancy Product Designer
    It does miss the option where the user could upload his own image (his window) and some customize features (own text, own image) are not needed, but i think it is going into the right direction
    Unfortunately i’m not really a javascript guy, so i wouldnt know how to customize this plugin
    Would you be able to help me with this, or would yuou know anyone i could hire to do that job?
