Integrated login?

    So, if I am running a site that already has a custom user login system is there a good way to integrate it with WordPress? My goal would be to let the user register/login through my site and just be logged into WordPress.

    There are mods to several different CMS systems and forums, commonly called bridges, that will tie WP or other pieces together. What does your existing site use?
