I check the RSS feed code, will that be caused because the rss feed doesn’t have the “
” code in there?
I checked the feed, it do not have
and
on the bottom..
Please advise..
Thanks
Hi,
Thanks for getting in touch. There are a few reasons Facebook might not be ingesting your articles, firstly if you navigate to the Instant Articles settings page on your Facebook page are there any warnings at all? Have you also authorised your domain on that page?
With the 500 errors, this is most likely caused by trying to show too many articles at once on the RSS feed. On the RSS settings page in our plugin, try lowering the number of articles to 10 and make sure the Caching and Modified Only options are enabled. If you could send me a link to your RSS feed I’d be happy to check it.
All the best
Hi @ozthegreat
The plugin is now working again.
But I would like to know why is the issue occur, I had checked the code that the rss feed generate, it doesn’t show the close tag for
and
.
Is that caused by the plugin or possibly by other plugin?
Thank you.
Hi,
It’s extremely possible another plugin or your web server is cutting it off. Instant Articles take quite a lot of resources to create and if your server is under load and you’re trying to create too many of them then there’s a chance it will just time out / cut off. Try reducing the number and making sure caching is enabled as I suggested. If it’s working though and Instant Articles are appearing I wouldn’t worry too much about it.
All the best
