install.php file not doing anything..

So everything has been installed via GoDaddy and I can access the default blog on my domain now (http://aprilmgeer.com/wordpress/), but when I open install.php in my browser, I just get the plain php code – but according to the ReadMe file, it sounds like this should prompt a login after which I should get a password etc., which is not happening for me. Since I don’t know where to login to edit the files at this point, I am assuming that would come from this step – can anyone tell me what I’m doing wrong?
