installing MU issue

hey folks

i am trying to install MU onto a split machine (hsphere powered – with php, mysql etc) over at jodohost.com.

at the host, they dont have the mod-rewrite avaiable – i assume that WPMU can run anyway, just w/o the fancy features, correct?
