Installed update, formatting options now gone

    I just installed the 4.1.1 update, and now the entire formatting menu in Add New Post or Edit Post has disappeared. The text box is stuck on Visual and will not switch to Text. The text of my post may be entered, but only in white, so it is completely invisible unless I highlight it with my cursor. I tried reloading the page, signing out and back in, closing my browser (Chrome) and re-opening it, uninstalling all my plug-ins, and using a different browser (firefox). Nothing works.

    Try deactivating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

    If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Twenty Fifteen theme to rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

    Hi James. I did deactivate all the plug-ins previously. I even deleted them. Nothing worked. I can’t switch themes because the site is part of an organizational website and has its own custom design. Any other suggestions? It’s still not working.

    You can safely switch themes, then switch back. It will take less than a minute and is a necessary troubleshooting step.
