    Feel free to ignore this. I’m just curious because of the difficulties of measuring how many sites one’s plugin is installed on.

    Presumably you know exactly how many are installed, because of the API keys. The dashboard says 41,000. However, your wordpress.org stats say BP’s only been downloaded 31,000 times… how does that work??

    Hey David– fair question! There are 2 ways this happens– we have a number of developers who download BP once and install it on dozens of sites. Also, BP is installed on a handful of larger blog networks (with 500+ sites each)– we count every site within those networks, even though they only need to download the plugin once.
