Hello, thanks for THE solution!
The “error” occurs because WordPress compares the PHP version actually being used by my site against the minimum required version; it detects version 8.1.34, whereas the O2SWITCH dashboard shows version 8.4.21.
This discrepancy is common with O2SWITCH/cPanel hosting: the PHP version displayed in the control panel can differ from the one assigned to the specific WordPress directory.
To resolve this issue:
– Log in to O2SWITCH cPanel
– Open “MultiPHP Manager” (in the “Software” section)
– Set the PHP version to 8.2 or higher (I chose 8.4)
Note: By default, this affects all domains and subdomains, so check with O2SWITCH support if you need to isolate a specific one.
– Save the changes
– Activate the extension
And it works!
I am now in :
Plugin version : 1.0.5
webcalendar-core : dev-main (91848a7)
php-icalendar-core : 1.1.4
PHP version : 8.4.21
