Hi there! Firstly, I love this plugin!!

    Secondly, I have a query:

In one of the tables, I have put rates into it. I want a plugin to automatically update the exchange rate from USD to ZAR so I installed the Currencyr plugin to do this. However, in order for it to work, I need to place [currencyr amount=$1025 to=$ZAR] shortcode into the table rows, but it doesn’t work. Can you please help? 🙂

    Thanks, Sarah

    Hi,

thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

This should actually work. I just checked that plugin’s source and it’s using the proper WordPress Shortcode API.
What are you seeing instead of the expected result? Can you please post a link to the page with the table where this problem happens, so that I can take a direct look? Thanks!

    Regards,
    Tobias

Hi Tobias, apologies for my late response, I didn’t see you replied. The link is: http://www.sarahkobal.com/tempHP/rates/

I have screenshots, but don’t know how to attach them?

    Hi,

thanks for the link! Ok, I can see the tables with currency values. Into which cells did you paste Shortcodes?

For the screenshots: Please try uploading them to e.g. http://imgur.com/ and then post the link here.

    Hi! Thanks!

Here’s the link. I have also added the Currencyr plugin screenshot in case I did something wrong there – http://imgur.com/a/lNXYV

I pasted the shortcakes into the $ cells. Thanks for all your help!!

    Hi,

thanks for the image! From the TablePress perspective, this is all correct. However, the Currencyr plugin seems to be returning an empty content that replaces the Shortcodes.
Do exact same Shortcodes work if you e.g. put them below the table?

Hmm I see now that it doesn’t show up in a simple text field. I’ll have to contact their support then?

Thanks so much for your help Tobias 🙂

    Hi,

yes, that’s the best option here.
There seems to be something wrong with the actual Shortcodes. Once they work in a regular post/page, they should work in tables as well.

    Best wishes,
    Tobias
