Ok, so in other words you’d like to customize the home page with a giant image and keep the call to action button overlaying the image as the front page?

Yes, that is exactly what I would like to do!
There are three ways to do that. The most recommended way I would suggest is using a page builder and put a picture in the background and then place an image in the position of the page you desire using the add Media button.
Right now i’m on the road. I’ll be back on in about an hour and will provide the links for the page builder. It’s a nice feature to have to make customizing paged and post real easy in sections and drag and drop feature for quick makeovers.

Ok, so first thing, install two plugins.

One those are installed go to a page, name it home, and use the new page builder tab. Add a row. Now click on that row then add a widget. Add the visual editor.
Now edit the visual editor. Look to the left and see where it says design, in that tab is the add background image option. Add the image. Now within the visual editor window add your media. Now play with the css for sizing and position. Don’t forget when you add the call to action button via add media to add the link to link. I’ll be up for a minute. Maybe I got confused on the step where you told me to add media. I added the image as a background image (which isnt showing). What was the media added for? Was it for the CTA button?
Yes it was for the cta button. You have to make one or use the code of the one that is currently there. Remind me, what is your site url? Or is yours one of the ones not live yet?

Mine is the one which is not live yet unfortunately. But does that explain why the background image is not showing?
No it doesn’t. and without me being able to see the site and use a frontend development tool I can’t tell you why it’s not showing. The other option is to spend $20 to get the layer slider plugin and create the slide of your choice in size and add the button as another layer over the image.
