Insert/edit link won’t work

    Let me describe my problem. I go to my blog and write a post. I highlight a word and click on the paperclip button, which makes a link, and all I see is a blank box in the middle of my screen. The same thing happens with paste as plain text. Please help me.

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems?

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress?

    I have the same problem. I did all of those things, and nothing worked. Very confused and annoyed.
