I recently switched a website I’m working on from its test ground to my client’s host and server. After the switch, I discovered that the “Insert into post” button when trying to insert media is completely missing. Here’s a screenshot:
The link is still there, albeit invisible–which is fine for me but unacceptable to tell my client.
I don’t have this issue with any other WordPress sites I logged into on this computer and browser, and I’ve already tried to troubleshoot it by disabling the plugins, reverting to Twentyeleven theme, and reinstalling the WordPress core. No luck.
I also noticed the “Preview changes” button on the edit page has been replaced by a link. Similar issue, I imagine. Screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/CBC8kPo.png
This definitely wasn’t a problem before I moved the site. Any ideas or solutions?
I came into this issue and the cause was the memory limit on the hosting server. Sometimes the graphical items would display, sometimes they wouldn’t. Your client isnt using a FREE hosting server are they? Because that is where I happned to have my issue.
