    Hello,

    First of all, I wanna say thank you again for this awesome plugin πŸ˜€

    So my question here is actually: should I use Inline and defer CSS or not since it’s quite confused me with following tests.

    When deactivate this feature: I got 71/100 for the mobile version and 89/100 for the desktop version but in the other hand, I’ve reached 99/100 for both when this feature activated.

    However. my site loading speed result using Pingdom is absolutely opposite since before activating inline and defer CSS , the loading time is 1.51 seconds but 5.61 seconds when it’s activated (around 4 seconds difference, that’s a lot!!!)

    I know that’s probably because inline css or inline scripts is not cacheable which cause the delay in loading time. So, should I follow Google or my site loading speed(or should I use both if autoptimize support defer CSS for mobile-only)?

    Thank you very much in advance.

    Felix

    Hi Felix;
    Google’s Pagespeed Insights is just an “appreciation” of you performance, but real performance (gmetrix or webpagetest.org) is clearly more important.

    Kind of surprised your site is that much slower with “inline & defer” though, would you care to share the GTmetrix-report (here or via futtta-at-gmail-dot-com)?

    Hi Frank,

    Just ignore this thread since seem like I’ve done something wrong previously during my test.

    At this moment, all of my results get better when using “inline & defer” feature.

    For GTMetrix:

    When deactivated my site loading time is 2.28s with 98%(A) in google page speed and 91%(A) in Yslow score

    When activated my site loading time is 1.52s with 98%(A) in google page speed and 93%(A) in Yslow score

    Thank you again for your support.

    Felix
