• Hi. I think this is a bug report.

Working with the Info Box block, I discovered the following behavior when trying to insert hyperlinks in the text of the block:
    – Every time I close the edit page and opne it again, the blocks appear grayed out and with the message “This block contains unexpected or invalid content.”
    – The procedure with which I obtained the best result to recover the block is to touch the menu … > Block recovery attempt. But still, all URLs and targets of links and buttons that the block contains are replaced by the first URL and target.

The blocks are working fine now. The problem occurs when I try to edit the page.

I hope they can reproduce it and correct it, or tell me if I am doing something wrong.
I have the latest versions of WP and Kadence.

    Thanks for this excellent plugin!

Hey, in your infobox settings on the right-hand side there is a “Link Content” setting. Can you make sure that is not on “entire box” it needs to be on learn more if you are going to be adding inner links in the text or title.

Hi Ben, thank you for your fast answer.

The “Link Content” setting is set to “Only Learn More Text”.
When I saw this behavior started a whole new page with a new block.
I tried again and obtain the same behavior.
This happens when I try to add an hyperlink on some word into the paragraph.
No chance to put one URL on “Link” field and other URL on some word in paragraph.

    Hey,
If the “Link Content” setting is set to “Only Learn More Text” then I don’t have any problem assigning a link to one word in the paragraph. I can assign multiple links without issue.

    Have you tried deactivating plugins?

    Hi Ben

I’ll try to be more accurate.
I have tested this on different sites, even on different hosting providers, and the problem persists.
The problem occurs the second time I attempt to edit the page where the block is placed.
I recorded this video in a website I use for testing, only Kadence plugin active, the theme Twenty Twenty, and all is up to date.
Note the first time I put the URLs:
    – In the block settings: https://100ideas.xyz.
    – In the paragraph https://100ideas.xyz/lab.
I update the page and it works. All fine up to here.

Then I go to WP dashboard, and then I turn back to edit the page.
And here is the problem! the block appears grayed out and WP says there is a problem with it.
When attempting to recover the block, the paragraph URL remains OK, but the block URL is changed to equals the paragraph’s one.
In the first edition was https://100ideas.xyz,
    and now is https://100ideas.xyz/lab.

I hope it was clear. You may ask anything if you want.
    Thanks!

    Hey,
Thanks for the video. I get it when showing learn more that would create an error every time, the link attribute is saved in the HTML. If you use different links that will though off the way the block validates in Gutenberg.

I’m gonna have to think how to make what you are doing possible, it’s not how gutenberg works so I think I’m going to have to change some structural things.
