Infinite Loop, Won't Load Index

    I’m still attempting to deploy my first wordpress site, I just have one last minor problem.

    If I go to the web address (for example http://example/wordpress) the site loads forever and never complete. However, if I go to http://example/wordpress/index.php everything loads fine.

    I’m not even sure how to search for this issue, I’m hoping it’s a simple fix. The wordpress site is running on IIS6.1
