individual post background

  • I thought I could set the background for an individual post if I wanted –
I’m using 3.8 and twenty fourteen theme with sidebars ..
I want to be able to set/modify the post background color for each post
I used the options provided on the post edit page …

I tried an image set with no images and set the image set background to the color I wanted and selected it for the post .. but no over-ride?

I tried the set short code within the post but that only changes the whole site background
thks in advance for guidance on this … I couldn’t find any relevant topics in the forum

    Hello,

Yes, you should be able to do this by editing the page or post, and using the “Background” selection. There should be no need for shortcodes to activate this.

Do you have any sample URLs where the background / colour should be active, but is not?
