individual page seo issues

    Hi Yoast.
    I downloaded your plugin on wordpress. I ran through the plugin and it seems there is only 1 meta title/description for each type of page. How do I insert different metas for individual pages and individual product pages etc?

    please advise soon thanks

    Hi Jason,

    It is not possible with Yoast to have more than 1 meta description or title. This is because Google will only output 1.

    so does this mean i have to go premium to do this?

    No, the Yoast SEO Premium plugin does not allow you to output multiple meta descriptions for a single page or product. Each page, post, or product would only have a single meta description. Having multiple meta descriptions output for a page will result in Google seeing two or more meta descriptions as conflicting data, so will likely not display either.

    You can edit the Meta Description settings for your page/post by performing the the following actions:

      In WordPress, go to the Edit screen for a page/post
      Scroll down to the Yoast meta box
      Click on ‘Edit Snippet’
      Input a page description into the ‘Meta Description’ box
      Click ‘Update’ to save the changes to the page/post
