Index.HTML… Can It Be Custom With WordPress?
-
I want to add a custom index.html file to my main directory of my website.
So i can have a custom sales page as my home page.
I want to still use WordPress as a blog with subpages and every thing but, I noticed that in the main directory of my website there is a index.php file.
When I drop the index.html file inside this directory it works as I want it too but, I have concerns regarding the stability.
Will I run into any problems doing this?
Also another concern of my is that I am tryn to use a visitor tracking plugin such as “count per day” to keep track of my home page views.
Would a plugin like that still work properly?
P.S. I do not want to have to install WordPress to a subdomain on my website. I want to do this right on top of the WordPress install I already have which is directly ontop of the domain name (no subdomains)
