• So, I have buddypress installed and I created the pages as instructed through the pages section and ‘connected’ these pages to buddypress using the settings. However, the pages that Buddypress is using, are not the same as the ones from the Pages section. For some reason, my pages are loading from index.php….I am unsure if that is correct or if that is going to cause problems later on. I figured out how to work around it…but I would like to know if the index.php thing is going to cause me issues and how to fix it.

    Buddypress is loading eltconjunction.com/members etc.
    Pages is creating eltconjunction.com/index.php/members

went to Buddypress forum. Their people are…in need of chocolate ice cream (?) .but here is the link to that.

From the standpoint of a novice, it appears to be lazy programming to me, instead of having Buddypress actually integrate with the website for the actual page address, it creates its own links..

they are saying this is a wordpress issue.

The developers and users of this plugin would be the best people to ask.

So, please continue at Buddypress forum.

    Hey TP,

Buddypress aside, I do have other elements to my site. They are also loading from index.php….is that a problem? Because I thought the pages should be direct as in (eltconjunction.com/thisismypage) but it is possible that I am confused…can you help me out here? I did some research and it said something about the Permalinks not functioning correctly, so when I went there in settings, it isn’t creating the pages the same…but again, through the eyes of a novice…if you are telling me it is not a problem, then I’ll go with that…I am planning soft launch within a week…I would rather not get hip deep and then it explodes so please…whatever you can tell me about this situation would be greatly appreciated.
