Incorrect values ​​for ascent and descent

    The values ​​for ascent and descent are calculated incorrectly from the GPX file.
    For comparison, I have a Garmin application that calculates very different values.

    Example from the same GPX file:

    Garmin:
    Ascent = 655m, Descent=678m

    LeafletMap:
    Ascent = 1375m, Descent=1439m

    You have to cleanup your track, elevation doesn’t do that.

    ok, thanks.

    And other Apps like Garmin-Basecamp or Komoot cleanup the tracks automatically?

    I’m using the good old Garmin MapSource to delete not correct recorded points and the good old GPS-Analyse NET to cleanup the height.

    (Both have their quirks, but I haven’t found anything better under Windows yet).
