I am experiencing issues with the orders I receive. Firstly, I am not receiving emails. Secondly, orders that haven’t been placed are still being counted as my revenue, even though draft orders should not be included. Additionally, the order’s breakup cost has been miscalculated.

    Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out. I understand you are experiencing multiple issues with your WooCommerce orders:

    1. Not receiving emails: This could be related to your email configuration. Please check the following:
      • Ensure that the Email notifications are enabled in WooCommerce > Settings > Emails.
      • Verify that your email provider and server are not blocking woocommerce emails.
      • Check if emails are being sent to your spam/junk folder.

Also, I would suggest you install the following plugin: WP Mail Logging to confirm if emails are being delivered from your site or not.

Regarding the issue with orders that have not been placed still being counted in revenue and miscalculated order breakup cost, could you please provide a screenshot of the issue? It would be helpful if you could explain what the correct data should look like and how the current data is appearing, so we can better understand the situation and assist you accordingly. you can use the following tool for screenshot: https://snipboard.io

This will allow us to investigate the problem more thoroughly and offer a more precise solution.

Also, could you please share your System Status Report (found under WooCommerce > Status)? This will help us diagnose the issue more accurately. You can share it via https://pastebin.com/ or https://gist.github.com/ and provide the link here.

    Thank you

Hey, thank you for all the steps. I have ensured that email notifications are enabled.

However, I just want to share that this issue seems to happen randomly. Sometimes I receive an email notification for a Cash on Delivery order, and sometimes I don’t.

To clarify, I haven’t made any updates or changes in the last two weeks. In that time, I’ve received around five COD orders, some triggered an email notification and some didn’t. Initially, I thought it might be related to the Razorpay checkout plugin, but after discussing with the Magic Checkout plugin team, they confirmed it’s not caused by Razorpay.

I’ve already updated all my plugins and WordPress itself. My email provider is also not blocking emails, because I consistently receive emails for prepaid orders without any issue. The problem seems to occur specifically with COD orders.

For example, when a COD order is placed, the status changes automatically from “Pending Payment” to “Processing.” In such cases, I don’t always get the email notification, even though the WooCommerce app does notify me.

To troubleshoot, I also went into WooCommerce settings → Email, and enabled notifications for the “Processing” status as well. Still, the issue occurs randomly, sometimes I get the email, sometimes I don’t.

I’m not sure if there is a permanent fix, but I thought of sharing this in case you or any of your clients have faced a similar issue. If you have a solution or workaround, I’d appreciate your guidance.

    Hi @avisbedlinen,

Thank you for getting back and for providing such a detailed explanation of the issue. I completely understand how frustrating it can be, especially since the behavior isn’t consistent.

Just to clarify, with COD orders the status doesn’t automatically change to Completed. By default, they should move to Processing, and from there you’d manually update them to Completed. If your orders are switching from Completed back to Processing or Pending, that suggests there may be a specific setting or conflict on your site causing it.

Could you please share your system status report by going to WooCommerce > Status > Get system report > Copy for support, and then paste the details to Pastebin or a similar service and share the link here?

Additionally, I recommend installing the WP Mail Logging plugin. The next time the issue happens, you’ll be able to check whether the email was triggered and sent. This will help us determine whether the server is blocking the email, or if it’s being sent but not received (which could point to the email client instead). If it wasn’t triggered at all, that gives us another clue as well.
