• My WordPress admin page keeps telling me that I’m running an outdated version of PHP, 7.3.33, but that isn’t so. The site is hosted on SiteGround with the PHP autoupdate feature enabled. SiteGround reports that I’m running PHP 7.4.33.

How does WordPress determine the version of PHP that a site is running? How can I get rid of the incorrect PHP version nag?

You mean the SITE HEALTH tool?

If not check SITE HEALTH and see what PHP version is detected by it:
Dashboard –> Tools —> SITE HEALTH
