    Hello,
I am currently testing out the Kale theme and love it so far. I would like to pull the trigger and buy it, but I noticed that my home page on mobile is not correct. The mobile home page shows an old theme that has since been deleted. It doesn’t show the correct theme like it does on desktop.

    Any ideas?

  • Hi @jdkapp1s.

Thank you for contacting us. I’m glad to read that you love our theme and I do have an idea how to resolve your mobile theme issue. 🙂

What you see (and what I saw) is a Jetpack Mobile Theme.

To disable it, please go to Jetpack -> Settings -> Writing tab and scroll down to the Theme Enhancements and the “Enable the Jetpack Mobile theme” option and turn that off.

Please let me know if this fixes the theme.

    Kind regards.

Thanks for the response. I went into the Jetpack Settings and found the Mobile Theme option, but it was not currently active.

I have deactivated the Jetpack plugin altogether and unfortunately still see the wrong home page.

OK, try going to any page other than the homepage, while on mobile, and you should see Kale theme.
It is just the homepage that still shows the old theme, so this might be caching issue. If you have any cache, try to clear/purge it and see what happens.

I also noticed that every other page works fine. I have tried using safari and chrome on mobile after clearing the cache, but no luck.

I was referring to any caching plugin you might have in your WordPress installation. If you don’t have any, try contacting Bluehost support and ask for advice about this. I mean, if you’ve uninstalled the old theme then it shouldn’t really exist.

Also, it looks like you’re using a static page for your homepage. Try just for the test to switch to usual blog feed (Your latest posts) and see what happens.

Thanks. I tried disabling all caching plug ins, changing the static homepage, and changing themes altogether and it didn’t fix the issue.

I’ll reach out to Bluehost, and I appreciate your help!

@jdkapp1s Can you show us a screenshot of what you see? I see the correct theme – this is a screenshot from my phone: http://prntscr.com/igmeqp

I apologize, I meant to mark this as resolved. It has since been fixed and was not a theme issue. Thanks for the help!

    Hi @jdkapp1s,

No problem. I’m glad it was resolved. Feel free to reach out if you need anything.

    Best
