• Hi,

I have just updated the Mailpoet plugin from version 5.23.2 to version 5.33.0.

Somewhere between these two versions, the mailpoet shortcode has been changed. This shortcode is used e.g. on the landing page if the user clicks the unsubscribe link in an email, where he needs to confirm the unsubscription. The sentence “You are about to unsubscribe this email” plus the email address has been added to the shortcode.

This is quite helpful, but the problem is: This new sentence is not translated! If the user clicks the unsubscribe link, the page now shows a mix of English (this new sentence) and in my case German (what was there before).

I have already tried to switch the language of my website to another one and back to German, in order to trigger translation updates, but without success.

    Can you please help

    Thanks

    dillhausen

Hi @dillhausen, thanks for reporting the issue. I can confirm, that we’re indeed missing translations for the recent changes in the plugin and are looking into the fixing it, but just noting that it can take some time to have everything properly translated.

In the meantime, you can use plugins such as Loco Translate to translate them manually. Hope that helps 🙂

I’d be willing to help with the translations, once you fixed it. Just let me know…

    Hi there @dillhausen,

Thank you very much for the offer, that’s certainly appreciated!

There are a number of languages, including German, which are managed by our partner team. The translations should be on the way soon!

For other languages, we have information about contributing translations in our guide here: https://kb.mailpoet.com/article/169-translations-in-the-plugin
