    Hi Again Zulfikar,

Sorry to bother you again. I should have saved my question for this one…

I installed the mailpoet plugin on your theme (www.robertfloris.com) and when the user subscribes to my newsletter, a dialog box is supposed to appear with a message telling the person to check their inbox or spam folder to confirm subscription. But it doesn’t work. All of the “back end” works properly (the email is sent and the address is saved to the database etc.) but there is no message on the screen to alert the user. The widget just goes blank after they press subscribe.

I thought the problem might be the plugin but it works with other themes! Also, the plugin developers confirmed to me that the problem is a JavaScript incompatibility issue with the theme (they mentioned the Facebook like widget also does not look right).

Can you help??? Because I really like this theme but I think I like the plugin more than the theme if I have to choose! Thanks!

    Sean

  • Hey there Sean,

    Hope you’re well! 🙂

Maybe this is not an issue with the theme. I suggest you try to disable all of your plugins temporarily then try to subscribe using a dummy email. If it still not work let us know by replying in this ticket.

Looking forward for your reply! 🙂

    Best Regards,
    Calvin

    Hi Calvin,

    Thanks for your reply.

Yes – unfortunately I’m positive it is a theme problem because I already tried that – disabling all other plugins to make sure there was no conflict and I have subscribed many times with dummy emails. They are always properly saved in the db but I just don’t get that message on the screen that says “congratulations”. It just goes blank in that area. The other reason I know it is theme related is because if I load the other WordPress themes that come with the WordPress installation (I think it’s called twenty-one?), it works great! Following subscription there is a nice little soft yellow message that appears telling the user to check his/her inbox.

I really hope in can solve this because it’s the only problem left!

    Hey there Sean,

    Hope you’re well! 🙂

I can confirmed the issue with my own install. I suggest you to choose another theme that is up to date. This theme’s last update almost a year ago.

Let me know if it helps! 🙂

    Take care,
    Calvin
