@htmljenn, Please don’t do that. You removed this thread from the “no-replies” list, a place where volunteers track and prioritise threads that have no replies. When this thread runs off the first page it will be very difficult to find again.
Hopefully a moderator will see this thread and remove both our comments.
I’m sorry, but it took me a few minutes to figure out what you meant by “don’t do that” – I assume you mean don’t reply if you don’t have assistance.
But frankly, I want “the moderators” or someone to know that bugmealways is not the only one with this problem. If only one person posts the problem that could mean one of several things, but at least two: 1. that no one knows the answer or 2. that no one has had this problem before.
I went to the Tri.be site and their only suggestion is that it must be the theme that is causing the problem. I checked and confirmed that yes, that is my problem. But it doesn’t help me fix it. I compared my loop to the 2013 loop (that worked) and the main difference is that mine is SIMPLER.
The only thing I can guess is that because I run the loop twice on my home page, when I run <?php rewind_posts(); ?> the Event Calendar events are not rewound, and so they aren’t displayed.
Oh, and I found this post through search, not by looking on the front page. It was like the first or second result for my search terms – so I’m not sure why you think it will be so difficult to find.
Hopefully a moderator will NOT remove this post, as it might have enough additional information to help someone show me how to fix this problem.

Hi bugmealways – can you confirm if this happens with only a default, unmodified theme such as Twenty Twelve running and no other plugins but The Events Calendar?
It’s been a while so I’m going to guess that you no longer need help, bugmealways. If you do still need help please just let us know / create a new thread since this one was derailed to some extent (!) and we’ll happily help.
