• I’m working on a blog for school and want to create a brochure that is accessible from the home page. I’m pretty much a starter with all this.

    I’d like to use this:

I already have the pages in swf format but can’t figure out in which folder I need to upload it into… pretty confused right now. Isn’t there a way that I just upload the files and have the digital brochure pop up in a new browser window or just as a pop up on the same page in flash format?

The files are xml and I’m using filezilla to upload.

    Please help

  • Try creating custom page templates and embedding the .swf files in the templates. The files can then be uploaded to a sub-folder within your theme’s folder (in wp-content/themes). Just remember to use absolute (full) urls when embedding the files. WordPress can’t handle relative urls.

Thanks so much for the response.

So I would create a new page for example brochure.php and embed the swf files according to the code that puts all the files together?

And I’ll create a subfolder in which I upload the files.

Now the only problem I see is putting the flash together I guess. It’s not one swf file but several that are put together but the program. It gives me the option to customize the XML files but how would that be included in my wordpress if I can only embed the flash file with a code?
