Importing from ical, csv or rss?

Has there been any further progress on the ability to mass-import events from other sources via ical, rss or so on? I’ve looked through some of the support threads dating back the last few years but can’t see anything specific.

I really like this plugin as, aside from the import functionality, it’s really comprehensive. However the need to manually add in all the events is going to become too impractical and time-wasting.
