importing

I have been using WP for years. I had an older blog from a past domain I want to upload entries to. It is in a .gzip file. I tired to upload it right from MyPHPAdmin to the new DB.

I have all the files uploaded and they show up in MyPHPAdmin but the DB tables are named different from the new DB names since the old domain was running way old version of WP. I’m not sure how to move them over without getting errors.

I want to combine them.

I even created a new WP in a sub domain and tried to upload them that way and it does the same thing. I know it is because the DB names are different from the version from the new WP.

I just want to have all my entries show up from the old domain. I don’t really care about categories. Just the date they was written in and the entries them self.
