Importer Won't Import Theme Unit Test Data

    Just put up a new site and I am trying to use the Theme Unit Test data supplied by WordPress but the WordPress Importer will not upload it. I get only a few pages, many images won’t load correctly, and none of the posts are uploaded.

    Please advise.

    Steps taken: themes swapped to WP 2015 and plugins turned on and off. Nothing new to report.
