import : The import window is empty … any idea?

    Hi,

    I’m trying to import an existing blog hosted by wordpress to my ISP.

    I got my .XML file ready to be uploaded but when I go to the import page, the window is empty. There is no list …

    I made it worse. I found the import.php code source. Copied & Pasted it in the import.php file that was on my server. And now I have this message

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_LNUMBER in /homepages/30/d282531929/htdocs/wp-admin/import.php on line 8

    Did I ruin everything?
    How can I make the list shows up?

    Ok, I get rid the “parse error”.

    I’ve deleted the mysql tables and I have reinstalled WP.

    It’s same problem. There is no “import” list under tools/import

    I got a quite blank page saying “choose your importer from the list below but there is no list”…

    The import.php is here. The source is the same….

    I don’t understand. If someone has an idea, please let me know

    Well, I reinstall WP in English and it worked. Previous install was in French…

    I have the same problem.
    I tried to reinstall WP several times, I ve also created an other date base but nothing seems to work.
