    Hi and Thanks in advance!

I have a client’s csv database that has 2k products. The issue is that the product swatches/images are stored at the product level. So, black fabric will be listed hundreds of times and point to a different URL on each product record.

I can’t seem to find a method to import/update products with these swatches. Manually doing so would take lots of time, but the manufacturer update would make it very hard.

I was thinking Product Level Attributes makes sense, but maybe I am not experienced to know of an ‘easy’ method.

HUGE thanks for any help you can provide 🙂

  • Hello there,

If I understood correctly, you would like to import products with Attributes via CSV.

You can import the products following these recommendations:
    https://woocommerce.com/document/product-csv-importer-exporter/

And you can also refer to this CSV schema to learn more about each field the CSV file requires:
    https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/wiki/Product-CSV-Import-Schema

I hope this points you in the right direction.

Thank you for your response. I will review those links, but I didn’t think that process would create the attributes themselves. My issue is the amount of attributes because each product essentially has its unique set of blue, green, and black image URLs.

    Thanks again.

    Hi @iqindy,

Sounds good! I’m not sure how your CSV file was created but you can consult the documentation shared above to see if it follows the Product CSV Import Schema.

If you require more features and need to go beyond the basic import/export tool available in WooCommerce, you might want to look into extensions of the WooCommerce.com marketplace such as Product CSV Import Suite or other third-party commercial tools which we’re not authorized to advertise on this forum.

    Best regards.
