Is this a new WP installation or have you been able to upload to this blog in the past?
I’ve been able to upload photos in the past with no problem.
What you’re referring to is likely not a problem with your computer and more likely one on your server. If your host has upgraded PHP recently it could be that one of the needed protocols has been disabled by default (like GD).
This is one of those things where you’re likely going to have to poke around your server and do some testing to figure out.
You might want to rule out your own machine completely, by trying to upload an image from another computer. If it fails, it’s most certainly server based.
I have what sounds like a similar problem.
Mine is a brand new installation.
I can do everything (upload photos, select from gallery, right up to the point i click to ‘insert into post’
Then I get a blank page. The URL at that point is:
[wp_root_folder]/wp-admin/media-upload.php?type=image&tab=library&post_id=xx where xx is a number
Any ideas?
I could post fine for the first day or so. Then this. Have tried various browsers and all the releavnt steps, i think, on the sticky page in the forum re: problems with image uploads.
Still no luck.
Suggestions appreciated.
