Images search

    Hi there, I’ve got a page with different images called “Press”. All of them carry a description/caption and are linked with a pdf or url. Is it possible to search after images/image descriptions and to use the search bar here as well? Many thanks and Regards, Laura.

    Hi,

    If these images are media files in the media library, then I’m afraid it is not possible with the Lite version. It only supports searching and returning custom post types as results (like posts, pages, products etc..).

    Hi Ernest, thanks so much for your replay, yes, they are images from the media library. Is it possible to search after them via their description with the Pro version? Or do you know any plugins which are for free and are allowing image search? Many thanks and Regards, Laura.

    Hi Laura,

    Yes, you can search them by their description in the Pro version.

    I honestly don’t know which of the free searches can do that. Usually media file searches are premium features, but make sure to try a few plugins first, maybe actually some of them can do that.
