Images overlaping table

I am currently making a theme.
A problem I have though, is that when I align an image to either the left or the right – if there isn’t much text – the image overlaps over it’s original cell and covers other wordpress elements.
It overlaps its table of origin instead of expanding the table.

I need the image to “push” the table and resize it, like it does when you enter lots of text.

I have noticed that other themes have the same issue… I hope there is a way to solve this.
