Hi @akapants,
This seems to be a shortcode from a specific gallery plugin. As the shortcode is showing instead of the gallery, this is most likely caused by your gallery plugin being deactivated. Can you try activating your gallery plugin?
It is activated….
It just started doing this since this plug in was addedGallery Bank Pro Edition
DeactivateGallery Bank is an interactive WordPress photo gallery plugin, best fit for creative and corporate portfolio websites.
Version 3.8.7 | By Tech Banker | Visit plugin site | Check for updates | DocsThat would be very strange, as Really Simple SSL does not do anything with shortcodes.
What happens if you click the “deactivate but keep https” button in settings/ssl/settings?
Didn’t change a thing… Now I can’t get to half the pages in wp-admin as I could before… seriously slow and doesn’t load. I added the really simple SSL and now images aren’t loading, I can’t even get to that page (gallery) to check it in dashboard
Can you try to temporarily disable the ‘mixed content fixer’ option to see if that does allow the shortcode to display? Do you see an error when loading pages in admin area? Do you see any errors in the developers console (in Chrome view->developer->Javascript console)?
I turned off the mixed content filter. The same result – just the short code is showing

Just getting sidekick errors in the console area (chrome)
I had to go back with a couple of the images and update the path to the https for them to work in other areas of the website.Super odd that since the activation of the really simple ssl plug in, these little errors arrive?
I still cannot get to the photo galleries page in the admin to even update a thing, just loads a blank page
These are the errors in the console for the wp-admin photogalleries page
Hi @akapants,
When you deactivated the plugin, you confirmed that this didn’t solve the problem. This means the issue can’t be caused by Really Simple SSL: when it’s deactivated, Really Simple SSL can’t break anything either.
The only thing that was still different when using this deactivation option (deactivate but keep https) is that your site_url is still https. This suggests the problem is caused by the site url being https.
Possibly the gallery plugin does not work on SSL. I would contact the gallery plugin and ask them if the plugin supports SSL.
There is also a “failed to load resource” error in your console. This possibly means the resource that is being loaded cannot load over https. When your site runs on SSL, all resources have to load over https. If you have external resources loading over a URL without SSL certificate, this can cause issues.
Thanks all. I am reaching out to the support on the theme side. I hope that is the issue and it might just need an update implemented π
Thanks again for everything.
