• All of the sudden I can no longer upload more than one photo into a post! As it’s a photography blog, it’s kind of a problem! I now have an upload maximum of 2 MB. I used to be able to add as many pics as I wanted into a post. As far as I know I didn’t change anything so I don’t understand this limitation. I’m hosted by GoDaddy but they’ve said everything is fine on their end. Looked through old forums about this issue but the information doesn’t seem to apply for the current wordpress version. I’m currently using the “match” theme. (I did try other ones and the issue still persisted. Please help!

Would you please describe exactly what’s preventing you from uploading images? Do you see an error? If so, would you please quote the error?

This is a very common problem now. Looks like its the new WordPress update. Wish they would test updates before giving them to us.

We get a grey box, which becomes a “cracked” image icon. No image uploads

Wish they would test updates before giving them to us.

The first beta of WordPress 4.1 was publicly released on November 14 followed by three separate publicly released release candidates all before the final release over a month later on December 18. You can read about them all on the news page https://wordpress.org/news/ and you’re more than welcome to help us all with testing next time.

283 volunteers contributed to this release, and next time maybe you could add to that number! 🙂

With regards to this specific problem, I haven’t encountered it on any of my sites, so I highly doubt it’s a problem in WordPress core. More than likely, it’s a plugin or theme whose developer didn’t test with any of the publicly available beta or release candidate builds.

Try deactivating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Twenty Fifteen theme to rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

Hey so since I don’t know some factors going to shoot in the dark if these don’t work let me know.

    1. Check your php.ini file make sure post max and max upload size are set correctly as well as session save path.
    2. If use Multi User site make sure you go to the dashboard, My Site’s, Settings, then I believe network settings. Scroll to the bottom and increase file size there, I have seen this take priority over php.ini.
    3. Go into your wp-config.php file make sure there is nothing set directly inside of your config file restricting access.
4.Attempt to install a plugin called “Use Google Libraries”. This can resolve some issues.

I hope this helps if not from there personally would disable plugins in database or rename directory temporarily to see if it is a plugin issue.
