Check the permissions on your image folder or your .htaccess file. Perhaps you were experimenting with hotlink protection?
I saw that you edited the background url to http://beaglesarebad.com/moodswings/images/background.jpg and you get the same error as the images that come with the theme.
I agree that this is sometype of a permissions problem. I haven’t had anyone else come to me with this kind of thing.
What do you use for your ftp uploading?
I changed the url after they weren’t showing up. So I will change it back and try the permissions on the .htaaccess file. They should be 777?
And will double check the directlinking.
