We’ve made many many galleries within albums and the majority are fine. Random, some 100 galleries do not show any images even though they have uploaded images in the same way as the working galleries.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @anytechsolutions

Could you please share with us the current version of our plugin?
Be sure to update our plugin if you have any pending updates.

Have you reset your NextGen Gallery settings?
That might solve this particular problem.

1.- Clear or deactivate any plugin cache you have installed (I know you have done that before, but It’s part of the troubleshooting steps).
2.- Go to Gallery > Other options > Miscellaneous > and click on “Clear image cache”.
3.- Go to Gallery > Other options > Reset options > and use the option “Reset all options”.
4.- Reinsert your gallery again and save.

    Please, keep us posted.

hi any update, our site is lacking due to this hiccup. Thanks

    Hi @anytechsolutions

Could you please perform some troubleshooting.
Let’s check if your environment complies with our requirements:
    https://www.imagely.com/docs/requirements/

Then, you should check if there is any existing conflict.
1.- Temporarily deactivate all your plugins except NextGen Gallery.
2.- Is the problem solved? Then, it was caused by one of your plugins. Please check one by one and find the one causing the problem.
3.- If the problem is not solved with the deactivation of the plugins, try changing to a standard WordPress theme, it could be a conflict with your current theme.

    Hi,
have now done everything you have asked and certain galleries still show no images. The galleries on theoir own show imnages up until the gallery is added to an album, then we see nothing.

Hi, I need to conclude this issue somehow, dont want to dump the gallery plug in afetr so much work.
Is no one else having this issue??

    Hi @anytechsolutions,

I’ve checked a bit more your main album page and it looks like you are using a special character “&” for many albums’ names.

I’d suggest trying to avoid using special characters and numerical years for the album names, in order to avoid such a problem.

    Best Regards,
    Mihai

Hi and thanks for the tip however iit has made no difference. I made a new album without & in the name and imported a gallery. The gallery works when it is NOT in the album but as soon as it is placed within an album the gallery shows as no images. Is this a directory issue? why does it work when not in an album but as soon as its placed within an album its broken??

Thanks for trying that and hope that you wouldn’t mind providing us with the testing gallery’s link so we could have a look at it. It shouldn’t be any problem if using just regular ASCII characters so that definitely may be a linking problem that we’ll want to study more in depth.

    Thanks in advance

I’m so despearate I am even happy to let you have access to the site admin as this has taken up weeks of time and the client is very very unhappy.

    Hi @anytechsolutions,

The only thing left to test is to refresh our plugins files.
Again, I do encourage you to test this will all the plugins deactivated and changing the theme to a standard WordPress theme.

If the problem persists, please, enable “WordPress debug mode” and try to check if there is any indication of a warning or message you can share with us https://codex.wordpress.org/Debugging_in_WordPress

Can you please share your album shortcode with us?

    Please, keep us posted.

We cannot change the themes at this stage the site is built. The majority of galleries work so this is not practical, if all users started to use the plugin and part way through had to change their theme that would simply be ridiculuos.
Refresh the plugin files – what do you mean – reinstall the plugin? will we lose data?

do you mean this from the page:
    [ngg src=”albums” ids=”46″ display=”basic_compact_album”]
    <p style=”text-align: center;”>Bus, Coach & Tram</p>
