Your front page is displaying post excerpts rather than post content. That may be why the images are being ignored until you click on the post.
How would I be able to change it?
I can’t tell. Is the ability to select post excerpts -vs- full articles an option in the themes options pages of whatever theme you are using? That’s a pretty common option in lots of themes.
For some reason the images disappeared from my main page.
You seem to be indicating this behavior is something new. Have you recently changed themes, or changed any options in the current theme, or edited any theme files? If it’s a custom theme, you may need to contact the developer. The use of “the_excerpt()” or “the_content()” in the actual theme templates often decide the appearance of the blog page if there are no theme options to give the user a choice.
Last month, my images were working fine. I didn’t realize it until last week. I don’t think I did anything different.
