• I have 600+ images in my library and the total count shows up at the top (all – images – unattached), but the actual images aren’t accessible and an image search yields no results. The image count being correct tells me that the images are still there, and the images still show up on my site, but they simply don’t show up in the Library.

My site often re-uses previously uploaded images, so this is a fairly large issue. Also, images that are re-uploaded appear in the Library.

Is this related to a known issue or hack? Any help would be MUCH appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Oops, now realized that this is in the wrong heading. Uh, should I repost in the appropriate place?

Nope it’s ok i’ve moved it along for you, now in the How-to and Troubleshooting forum.. 🙂

In regard to the problem at hand, please try disabling plugins and see if attachments then appear, and failing that try switching theme to see if that has any effect.

Thanks. I gave those suggestions a go, and no dice. 🙁

Did you recently upgrade or recently have any plugins installed that are no longer installed / active?

Twitter Tools recently updated, but I disabled it to no avail.

Replace the wp-includes and wp-admin from a zip of WordPress (matching version) and see if that helps.

Beyond that the only other thing i can think of (beyond a plugin or theme issue) is a DB problem, you could Analyze the DB to see if any tables need repair, your host should provide a facility for checking DB tables.

No go. Time to call my host I guess. Thanks for all the suggestions Mark.
