I know there have been topics related to this and I have read them however the fixes they stated, such as saving for web and as sRGB we are already doing.

Issue: Website background is RGB: 255, pretty much pure white. Images are saved with an RGB 255 background however when uploaded the bg is changing to RGB: 254…thus making the images look like they have a box around them…meaning the whites no longer match.

    Thoughts? Ideas?

    Have you tried:
    – deactivating ALL (yes all) plugins temporarily to see if this resolves the problem (plugin functions can interfere). If this works, re-activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s).
resetting the plugins folder by FTP.
    – switching to the unedited default Theme (Twenty Sixteen, etc.) for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

Besides this image issue, why are you using an old version of WordPress? Were you aware that your site is currently running a very real risk of being hacked? You need to upgrade WordPress to the latest version 4.6 asap.

Thanks for the feedback Tara. I will start with t he deactivation.

As for the update to the latest version I will have our DEV team get the update going.

What php image libraries are you using on the server/webhost? Imagemagick or GD?

We may have figured out the issue. Will report back if it is fixed.
