    Hello!

I migrated my website from wordpress.com to wordpress.org a while ago and unfortunately my images are broken in the dashboard and in the backend as well. I have no idea what to do

    😞

can you help me out? Thank you so much in advance!!

what steps or procedure did you follow to “migrate” your database and files (plugins, theme, uploads)?

are the images suddenly “broken” or have the images been broken since the “migration” was done?

images are stored in the WP-Content directory in the Uploads directory. the WP-Content folder is availabe in your webhosting account file manager area. check to see if your images are stored properly.

I inspected an image source and it seems to have several likely misconfigurations which https://scrapsandcoffeegrounds.comwp-content/uploads/2021/11/dsc_0358281294449822052701940567..jpg?

more details about each image are in the DATABASE in the POSTS table. images are an Attachment post type. the Database is stored in your webhosting account – usually in an area labeled PHPMYADMIN.

do you have access to the WordPress.com site to try the “migration” again? I don’t know if you had a WordPress.com plan that allowed for installing plugins, but if you can install a plugin named All-In-one-Migration you could try the process again.
