Images appear broken

None of the images I upload appear anywhere. They get uploaded but they appear blank and broken (find the attached picture). Now I don’t know what I’m doing wrong but fair warning, I’m a complete newbie with wordpress and don’t really understand the ins and outs of it. I’m simply learning from YouTube and needless to say, the person doing the video isn’t experiencing this problem. Any help is appreciated and if you’d be so kind as to break it down into the simplest of steps, that’ll be a big help.
