Images and CSS aren’t working. please help…

    Hello,

    I have installed WordPress on my own server (Windows 2003), created the MySQL DB, set up the site and the domain. everything is up and running, I only have one problem.

    The CSS and images aren’t showing. I checked the source code and the path is corrent. I tried accessing the images or CSS files, but it wouldn’t let me. it says they cannot be found.

    Just to test it, I tried moving the style.css file from \htdocs\wp-content\themes\mytheme\ to \htdocs and the CSS worked, but I can’t run it from there. all the images and theme settings (along with other CSS files) are in the theme folder.

    I tried playing with the folder permissions and several other things but nothing worked.

    Could you please help?

    It appears that the problem is also accuring in the includes folder and the wp-admin CSS folder.

    For some reason these files cannot be accessed. no the theme images, css files, includes, or admin css files.

    Did anyone install it on IIS and can assist?
