I really appreciate the flexibility of this plugin, and use it on many sites where I need different content in widget areas on different pages. However, I’m having a problem with an image widget where the image opens a link. I need that link to open in a new tab, but I don’t see an option for that. Is there a setting for this that I’m missing, or do I need to write custom CSS to achieve that?

    Hi @syzygist,

Thanks for reaching out to our support threads.

Your suggestion to add an option for opening an image link in a new tab instead of redirecting the page is indeed a great recommendation. I’ve added this to our feature request list and shared it with our development team for further consideration.

Regarding custom CSS, yes—this may also be achievable depending on the specific customization you have.

If you have any additional ideas or questions, please feel free to let us know!

    Kind Regards,

    Hi @syzygist,

    Apologies for the confusion earlier.

A linked image that opens in a new tab is indeed a feature of the Widget Options plugin. However, please note that this functionality is only available in the PRO or Extended versions of the plugin.

If you have any questions about upgrading or need help setting it up, feel free to let us know—we’re here to help!

    Kind Regards,
    Mej, Widget Options Team
