• OK I have tried everything this post has told me to try (http://wordpress.org/support/topic/164999?replies=1), but still no luck.

When I upload an image it just goes to a screen that shows the file name, save changes button and show button. When I try and click on show it gives me nothing and when I save changes it just kicks me to the gallery. When I am in the gallery or media library tab it does the same thing when I try to click on show. Just says done in my browsers bottom left hand corner.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

I would really love some input….Thanks

It’s an AJAX problem. What browser are you using? The latest version of WP has become so dependent on AJAX that it’s non-functional on at least my old version of IE6 here at the office (not that I should be working on my blog at the office, but…). I’m forced to use Opera 9.2x or FireFox (or my somehow newer or different version of IE6 at home.

So maybe just play around with it in a different browser or make sure that JS is enabled in whatever browser you use.

Personally, and for whatever it’s worth (probably not much), I think it’s bad practice to make something RELY completely a technique like this. But that’s just me.

Yah I have the most current version of Firefox. I have also tried on IE7 and have had no success with either one.

    Any other ideas?

(Love the idea behind the media uploader, but so far its a big failure)

I hate to tell you this, but try Opera. Although I’ve used it with FF 2.0.0.4 without problem. Oh, try this, I just googled for it; don’t know if it fits your sitch, but it might:

Its weird because my other blogs work so it has to do something with this blog in particular. I tried that plugin and still no luck. I might just have to figure out away around it until wordpress updates to a better version.

I just installed the http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/image-upload-http-error-fix/. Worked like a charm to eliminate the “http error”.

I had this problem. I tried all of the solutions suggested by various forum replies but nothing worked. I was using Firefox and I switched to IE – and everything works fine, now.
