Hi, in gallery editor no matter how much I change sorting from Default Sorting to File Name (Asc), Alt/Title (Asc), etc., the new sorting order would not hold. I would click Update, leave the gallery editor, re-enter the gallery editor, and the sorting order would revert to Default Sorting. I cannot drag and drop because I have thousands of images in my portfolio and can only manage the image order by managing their file names.

It looks like the Sorting drop down only rearranges the images for you to manually type in the Ordering Numerate. This is terrible. This precludes the plug-in to be used in any professional capacity.

    Dear @pflau,
    Thank you for the report.

Did you try to order the images as shown in here?

    Sincerely,

Yes I know the option of embedding the gallery in a page and that would give me the sort option. But this is not how I use it, I don’t create pages for galleries. I attach all my galleries to a gallery group which is set up as a custom link in a menu item. So no page is ever created for a gallery or gallery group.
I did find out if I change the Order by option in Global Settings it would change the sort method in a gallery, but then all other sort methods are broken.
The main issue as I see it now is the option of overriding global gallery option is only available when the gallery is embedded in a page, and having to create a page for every gallery negates the advantage of the plug-in.
