    Hi,

    I have a post which has several images. Although I have used the open graph protocol in order to indicate which picture is important for facebook, i.e. using <meta property=”og:image” content=”mypictureurl.jpg” />, it seems that the plugin ignores it. I would like to ask how the selection of the images takes place in the plugin in order to post it to the facebook and if I should use it in a different way in order to have in facebook the image I want.

    Plugin will take featured image from the post. if there is no featured image it will take the first image from the post body. if your post body has no images it will take the specified default image

    Thanks for your reply.
    Actually I have never used the featured image in wordpress. In fact, I didn’t know it exists :). Anyway, I checked around and it seems to be quite useful. In the current theme I’m using the first picture of the post in home page .

    Nevertheless, for some reason it doesn’t take the plugin the first image but the last one or something at the end. The version that I have is
    plugin: 2.5.5
    wordpress: 3.4.1

    Do you have any idea why?

    Hi,

    I didn’t check the code but for some reason version 2.4.2 of the plugin works fine, i.e. take the first image, while both 2.5.5 and 2.6.1 take a random image, mainly the last or from the last images.

    You can try to uncheck the “Verify “Featured” Image” checkbox in the Other Settings.

    Hi,
    No…nothing. I re-post to facebook with the option you told me deactivated in version 2.6.1 and it takes a random image. I re-install the 2.4.2 and it gives the first one.
